Isocrete LMA. Latex modified tile additive
It is a single component polymer based, additive for cement based tile adhe- sives. It is a water based, specially formulated to improve remarkably the bonding properties as well as improve mechanical strengths of cement based tile adhesives. It improves an elastic glueing which can absorb the different movements between structure & tile and making the tile bedding impermeable as well.
Isocrete CSA can be mixed to improve further adhesion to several type of surfaces such as concrete, brick, glass, marble, ceramic etc.
supplied in 2 pack sizes:
20 Litres & 200 Litres Drum
Can be used as bonding agent & admixture.
Enhances bonding of cement tile adhesive.
Improves hydration & curing when added to cement based mixes.
Improves compression strength & abrasion.
It adheres well to various construction ma- terials, including concrete, stone, etc.
Isocrete CSA tile adhesive mixed with Isocrete LMA is the perfect solution for laying of ceramic tiles of every type, vitreous and ceramic mo- saics, porcelainized grès, klinker, single-fired tiles, marbles, artificial and natural stones, etc. it is recommended for application on external walls, prefabricated concrete walls, terraces and balconies, heated floors, refrigerating rooms, and on supports exposed to strong movements, vibrations, or high temperature variations. It can be used for both for internal and external applications.
and must Surface must be well cleaned and free from loose materials. Inconsistent parts, varnishes, grease, laitance, algae, must be eliminated through sand blasting or brushing. Application on gypsum boards, the boards should have humidity of less than 10%
It may partially or totally substitute the mixing water of the adhesives according to the elasticity required.
Pour the 25 kg tile adhesive bag into a container with about 5 to 5.25 liters of Isocrete LMA, and mix until a ho- mogeneous lump free mixture is obtained.
Let the mixture rest for about 5 minutes and briefly remix before application.
Spread the mixture on the substrate to a uni- form thickness of 2–3 mm using a toothed spatula, the first pass with its smooth part and the second pass with the toothed part.
Place the tiles onto the adhesive bed. Apply sufficient pressure on the tile during fixing it with slight twisting movement in order to en- sure good contact with the adhesive.
The working time of the adhesives mixed with Isocrete LMA in regular conditions, will be re- duced about 10-15 minutes less than normal adhesive mixture.
Isocrete LMA may be mixed with any type of powdered adhesives.
Isocrete LMA has a shelf life of 12 months provided it is stored clear of ground in a dry place below 25ºC.
Isocrete LMA is polymer based and harmful, therefore avoid direct contact with eyes or skin. It is recommended to use protective gloves and goggles during application. In case of contact with eyes, clean immediately with plenty of clean cold water and seek medical advise.
